Equipment Review
Sporasub H. Dessault Elite fins
The moment I strapped the Elites on, I expected big things. I was not dissapointed. The fins offer enough stiffness to deliver a rather powerful punch. This particular fin comes in both, a full foot and an open heel version. I went with the open heel due to my extremely wide foot and very high arch. Another important note, the blades can be replaced by simply removing two screws. This is a very nice feature which should ensure a longer fin life.
The key thing to remember with the Elites is to let the fin do the work. Use the leverage and blade length to your advantage instead of trying to overkick to power yourself on ascents and descents.
This fin was exactly what I had hoped and coupled with my Sporasub Spartak mask (review coming later) I feel comfortably equipped in the water.
